About Us

Mission Statement
The Mission of the McLean County Reentry Council (MCRC) is to provide a coordinated community response to address reentry efforts and to reduce recidivism and family crisis episodes by bringing together justice-involved individuals, criminal justice officials, and health and human service providers to increase education, financial literacy, resources, and autonomy for justice-impacted individuals in McLean County, Illinois.

When a united community advocates for the removal of barriers that impede their fellow community members from leading productive and purposeful lives, the entire community becomes a vibrant and safe demographic for all citizens to feel seen and heard.

Goals

  • Connect justice-affected populations with educational programming, resources to meet basic needs, and other supports necessary to reintegrate into the community;
  • Reduce stigma with a focus on removing barriers to stability and elevating the voices and experiences of justice-impacted individuals;
  • Complement rather than duplicate or replace the efforts of other area social service agencies.
