McLean County Reentry Council
About Us
The McLean County Reentry Council was founded from lived experience and a shared belief that no one should have to navigate reentry alone. Founded by Toy Beasley, Kara Powell, and other passionate community members, our organization became an official Illinois nonprofit in 2023.
Today, more than half of our Board of Directors has lived experience with the justice system. Together with dedicated local professionals and advocates, we work to connect individuals with resources, reduce barriers to successful reentry, and build a more compassionate community. We believe that when people are given support, opportunity, and hope, everyone benefits.
